The village of Carlton le Moorland is situated a short travelling distance from Newark, Lincoln, Grantham and Sleaford with easy access to the A1, A46 and A17. The area is a paradise for antique hunters with International Antique Fairs held six times a year at both Newark and nearby Swinderby. Golf, sailing, gliding, and karting are all available locally. LINCOLN - an historic city with a 13th Century Cathedral, a Castle and Roman walls. There is a wealth of historical buildings to visit, and of special interest is the area called Steep Hill with its quaint shops and narrow cobbled street. The city also benefits from a modern shopping centre and a variety of high street shops and restaurants. NEWARK - a bustling market town famous for its antiques centres. Its imposing 12th Century Norman Castle, a Royalist stronghold during the Civil War, is now surrounded by tranquil gardens with a sympathetically restored Victorian bandstand.
